Just a Thought

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.

Someone Watching?Someone Watching? The SonQuest Christian youth event is now 3 months away. This week, I received new information from the SonQuest organizing committee. Who makes the best chicken?

Odd & Unexpected, Parenting

Last night I took my daughter on a "Joie/Daddy" date. (This means we left Sarah home for some peace and quiet.) I'd already been thinking about doing this when I picked Joie up from daycare. Apprehended by a Police Golf Cart?

Odd & Unexpected, Travel

I never would have believed it, but I saw it with my own eyes. While we were in Thomasville, Georgia on Saturday for the annual Rose Festival, we saw something that caught us by surprise. Right after we parked, we noticed a regular looking, green Golf Cart that had been placed in the service of the local police -- complete with red and blue police lights installed at the top of the windshield. I did a double take and then said, “Sarah, did you see that? It even had lights on top!” We both chuckled and wondered what good a golf cart would do for serious law enforcement work.
