Fall from GraceToday the Young Families life group sponsored a Memorial Day picnic for our entire church at a local park (about 5 minutes from us). We had grilled food, dizzy-bat games, water balloon fights, and all the other requirements of a great church picnic. The best part was the "bounce house" that we rented for the kids. This was a deluxe model with a slide attached that you could get to from inside the bouncing portion. Of course, several of the dads felt the need to try it out before the picnic started..."just to be sure it was safe."
Forrest, being an overgrown child himself, was among the first to go into the bouncer (Joie and I had not gotten there yet and thus couldn't talk him out of it). So after several minutes of bouncing around inside, he decided to attempt the slide. One of our friends was taping the action and caught every second of Forrest's "fall from grace." You'll have to watch the video to get the full impact of the moment, but let's just stay his serious reputation took a tumble. Much to his dismay, after Joie and I saw the video, I declared it had to go on the blog. Being the good sport he is, he got everything set up for me and even edited the video to be sure you see every moment.
Am I the only one who thinks this is AFV (America's Funniest Videos) material?
