Someone Watching?The SonQuest Christian youth event is now 3 months away. This week, I received new information from the SonQuest organizing committee. So, I've been working on a website update and (more ambitious) a new site design that supports this year's theme -- "The Final Frontier - 2007: A Faith Odessy."
With a space theme, there’s no better source of imagery than the NASA website. I spent some time reviewing the “Picture of the Day” archive, which is a fascinating experience in itself. In the process I discovered this powerful image. It definitely makes you think about that old concept of God as the “all seeing eye in the sky.”
Updating the SonQuest website is a good creative challenge for me. I’m using newly learned skills for graphic design, CSS layout, and DHTML animation. The initial design process was fun. Getting the design to work across multiple browsers has been a real pain. I think I’m very close, but tomorrow I’ll be working on method 4 of getting the layout to work.
I’ll post another entry when the new SonQuest website goes live. I think people will be excited about having the look of the website support the annual theme.
